Joseph Patrick (J.P.) Brett had been in the air conditioning business in northern Ohio for 16 years. In 1972, Joseph and his wife Agnes moved six of their nine children more than a thousand miles south to sunny Naples, Florida. The warm climate and the community's needs provided the family with an opportunity to serve, and JP Brett & Sons Air Conditioning was launched as a family-owned business.
At the time, Dan (Joseph’s oldest son) was attending college in Ohio, and his dad asked him to come on board to work the service side of the business. Agnes answered the phone; the sons ran the jobs, and Joseph ran the sons. They worked together and grew the business. As time went on, Naples expanded, and so did JP Brett & Sons Air Conditioning.
Dan took over the business with the assistance of his wife, Debbie; now, 45-plus years later, they have grown JP Brett & Sons Air Conditioning to over 30 employees. In 2020, Debbie retired, and Dan is semi-retired.
In recent years, Dan’s two sons-in-law, Casey (Financial Director), Ben (Operations Director), and daughter Krystal (Human Resource and Marketing Director) joined the business. The three of them are working in different areas of the company.

Casey Installation ManagerCasey Installation ManagerCasey and his wife of over 20 years, Monica, were both born and raised in beautiful Naples, Florida. Casey’s family of five enjoy all things outdoors including hunting, fishing and working on their hobby farm. Casey is our install manager and has been working in the HVAC industry for over a decade. -
Carlos Service ManagerCarlos Service ManagerCarlos is the Service Manager, where he leads the service team and helps ensure every customer has a smooth, positive experience. He also serves on the company’s Board of Directors, contributing to key decisions and the overall direction of the organization. Carlos enjoys building strong relationships with both coworkers and customers and takes pride in keeping the department running at its best. Outside of work, he loves relaxing and spending quality time with his family. -
Ben Operations & Maintenance ManagerBen Operations & Maintenance ManagerBen oversees the maintenance dept., warehouse, and technology operations with a people-first mindset. He’s passionate about supporting his team, clearing obstacles, and building systems that help everyone succeed. Ben is known for being approachable, solution-driven, and committed to excellence. Outside of work, he enjoys serving at his church, spending time with his family, and diving into creative projects.

Krystal HR & Marketing ManagerKrystal HR & Marketing ManagerA lifelong resident of Naples, Florida, Krystal married Brian, an Alabama native with deep local roots more than 20 years ago. They have three children who are actively involved in sports, livestock programs and outdoor activities. Having grown up in the family business, Krystal now serves as both Human Resource Manager and Marketing Manager. -
Christy AccountantChristy AccountantChristy is our dedicated Accountant at J.P. Brett & Sons, Inc., joining our team in 2019. Having lived in Southwest Florida for over two decades, she expertly manages all accounting operations. In her free time, Christy enjoys spending time with her family and traveling. -
Randie Warehouse ManagerRandie Warehouse ManagerOriginally from Pennsylvania, Randie made Southwest Florida his home in 2008. He began his journey with J.P. Brett’s in 2014 as a Service Technician and quickly rose through the ranks to become our Warehouse Manager. Today, he keeps our warehouse running like clockwork—overseeing operations, leading our drivers, and ensuring everything stays clean, organized, and ready to go. Outside of work, Randie enjoys fishing, spending time with his two German Shepherds, and tinkering with his old truck.
