Open Positions

  • All technicians must: Hold an EPA card & abide by J.P. Brett & Sons company manual. These positions are non-exempt and safety-sensitive positions.

Installer

  • Customer Service
  • Install equipment and ductwork per code and J.P. Brett standards.
  • Supervise and train Install Teammates.
  • T-Stat & Operation of equipment explained to the customer.
  • Review paperwork with the customer after the completion of installation.
  • Get paperwork signed by the customer (inspection form & collect $).
  • Maintain order and maintenance of the van.
  • All start-up and material sheets are filled out completely on the job.
  • Get pictures of completed jobs & email them to the manager before leaving the job.
  • Load and check the necessary materials for job completion.
  • Maintain necessary truck stock.
  • Return unused material to the shop in the designated area.

Maintenance Technician

  • Customer Service
  • Communicate with the Dispatcher
  • Required to work in cramped, hot spaces.
  • Required to climb ladders up to 24’ extension.
  • Required to complete maintenance for each job.
  • Required to do maintenance on both residential & light commercial equipment.
  • Perform & complete maintenance work to the manufacturing and J.P. Brett standards.
  • Complete equipment checklist for each system.
  • Complete satisfactory field paperwork/invoice.
  • Collect Planned Maintenance Agreements when necessary.
  • Collect necessary information & signatures from customers.
  • Communicate follow-up work with the Service Manager or Dispatcher before leaving the job.
  • Communicate the operation of equipment or parts to the customer.
  • Communicate problems or future concerns with the customer& give written recommendations.
  • Upload the before-and-after pictures to the customer file in SAWIN.
  • Schedule new system appointments with the office & customer when a new system is recommended by you.
  • Able to explain IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) products, options, or issues with the customer.
  • Explain to the customer the need and benefits of a Planned Maintenance Agreement.

Service Technician

  • Required to do a complete diagnostic on all jobs.
  • Required to do service work and routine maintenance on both residential & light commercial equipment.
  • Required to rotate On-Call service per schedule, for after-hours, weekends, and holidays.
  • Perform & complete maintenance work to the manufacturing and J.P. Brett standards.
  • Complete equipment checklist on mobile device.
  • Complete satisfaction with the field paperwork/invoice.
  • Collect necessary information & signatures from customers. 
  • Collect necessary payments from customers.
  • Communicate follow-up work with the Service Manager or Dispatcher before leaving the job. Make notations in the recommendations section of the Invoice.
  • Communicate the operation of equipment or parts to the customer.
  •  Communicate problems or future concerns with the customer & give written recommendations.
  • When performing a maintenance visit, take before and after pictures and upload them to the customer's file.
  • Schedule a new system appointment with the office & customer when a new system is recommended by you.
  • Able to explain IAQ (Indoor Air Quality) products, options, or issues with the customer.
  • Explain to the customer the need and benefits of a Planned Maintenance Agreement.

Service Driver

  • Pull parts list for vans. See the service manager to see what days parts can be pulled.
  • Restock the box truck with parts used from the truck on the previous day.
  • Provide the Warehouse manager with a list of parts used off the truck.
  • Pull paperwork on warranty parts.Bin is in the service dispatch office.
  • Load all warranty and non-warranty parts for techs.
  • Meet techs daily. Restock their trucks and pick up their money bags.
  • Turn in the money bags to the service manager.
  • Assisting with the cleaning of the Warehouse, such as sweeping/mopping/emptying trash.
  • Pick up Parts from Supply Houses when needed.
  • Deliver and pick up ladders from install jobs after Inspections.
  • Wash drops cloths & rags from jobs for the week.
  • Assist the Warehouse manager with filling bottles with emergency supplies each day.
  • Keep the yard behind the gates clean from all garbage & debris & use the magnet for nails & screws.
  • Deliver filters to customers when needed.
  • The Driver keeps a timecard.
  • Keep the vehicle filled up with Gas and vehicles washed when necessary.
  • Take Warranty parts back to manufacturer.
